    Subject: Canopy Track Question

08/20/2004 06:58:40 AM --> RV8-List message posted by: Don.Alexander@AstenJohnson.com I am in the process of putting my C-804 / C-805 rear slide track together and have run into a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. The plans indicate that the 805 should be countersunk on both sides for the AN 426 rivets. I don't understand what this means. How does one go about driving the rivets on this assembly? I imagine that the shop head of the rivet somehow nests inside the bottom countersink, but I don't see how to drive the rivet down into a "funnel" shaped hole. Don Alexander

--> RV8-List message posted by: "Doug Ripley" <dougr@hurricanefilter.com> Thanks, Jim. The airplae is based at Air Acres airport in Woodstock. Would like to get together some time, my place or yours. I'm flying tomorrow (Saturday). My cell is 404-403-9208. There are some pictures here from the first flight http://www.iac3.org/RV8/firstflight.htm. Where do you keep your airplane?
