Do Not Archive "Shine" Mannan Thomason RV-8 N1 6IRL Almost ready to fly "S-n-F is delaying me for a week." On Wednesday of next week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. That won't ever happen again. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:56:43 PM PST US From: Mickey Coggins Subject: Re: RV8-List: Fw: Once in a lifetime --> RV8-List message posted by: Mickey Coggins > I apoligize for this trivial, totally unrelated to RV's item, but it is interesting to me. > > On Wednesday of next week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 > in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. > > That won't ever happen again. Sure it will - it already happened in your lifetime, and will happen again this year! Not everyone displays dates the way it is done in the USA. For example, in most of the world, dates are displayed Day-Month-Year, not Month/Day/Year like is done in the USA. So, at the same time you mentioned above, on May 4 of this year, you'll have 01:02:03 04-05-06 in most of the world. Also, in some countries, they display the date Year-Month-Day (my personal favorite), so in on May 6th, 2004, this sequence has already occurred. I'm sure there are other ways people display dates in their region that would have equally interesting sequences. I really liked this date: 02:02:02 02-02-2002 I hope I'm around to see 02:02:02 02-02-2022! -- Mickey Coggins http://www.rv8.ch/ #82007 finishing do not archive
