Subject: | Mounting Antenna - backing plate |
Hello,
I am mounting the comm. Antenna just aft of the right foot well and the
transponder blade antenna just aft of the baggage floor.
I would like to know if anyone installed their antennas in roughly these
same locations without backing plates and more importantly, without
problems?

I have mine in about this location, but with a backing plate (.032" if I
remember correctly). Not sure why you would not want to use a backing
plate.
