Subject: | Rudder Counter Balance Weight / Rod End Bearings |
Greetings:
1) Have an "older" RUDDER Dwg 7PP which does not show
the how far the 3 Rod End Bearings are suppose to be
screwed into their associated Nut Plates mounted on
the Rudder Spar. What are the dimensions and where
are they measured from ?????
2) Looking at the LEAD COUNTER BALANCE WEIGHT, one of
the 2 pre-drilled holes is closer to the "end" of the
lead weight than the other.
Which Weights "hole" goes forward toward the front of
the rudder AND is the Ribs (R803) tooling hole used to
mount the Lead Weight OR are 2 new holes drilled to
mount the weight ???? Assume the Lead Weight should
be placed as close to the "leading edge"of the Rib
(R803) as possible, is this true ????
Need a little clarification. Thanks, Garey ( Santa

Garey...
I started out using the same dimension called out for the horz. stab/elevator.
Some adjustment is required upon final assembly after the emp. is mounted to
the fuse.
