Subject: | RV-8A Aileron Stops |
Dear Fellow RV-8 Builders, I can't seem to find in the written instructions info
for setting the swing limits for the ailerons. I see where the drawings shows
where to put the stop, but I need to know how far up and down the aileron can
travel. Who can help me out? Also, are we to put the stops on both ailerons?
One to stop up and the other to stop down? Thanks, Bill of Georgia?

Hey Bill,
Have you seen any planes out there with the plastic spacers in the aileron
hinge used to limit the travel of the ailerons. Just did mine this way. Simple
and elegant.

The control throw specs are in Chapter 15 page 2. Up 25 to 32 deg, down 15
to 17 deg. Good luck.
