Just carefully squeeze the rivets in the nutplates and you shouldn't have a
problem. CJ

Subject: RV8-List: Fuel Tank Nutplates
Fellow RV Builders, I'm about to remove my wings for storage until painting,
but before I put them up I want to rivet in the nutplates that hold the root
farings on. Should these holes at the edge of the tanks be dimpled or
countersunk ? Seem like they are pretty close to the Proseal and I'd hate to
make a leak. What does everybody else do ? Thanks, Bill of Georgia

Hi Carl,
Use #6 screws, 3/8 dia 3/32 dimple die, and #6 dimple die with flat on sides
to clear tank edges. Pro seal doesn't harden completely ,so the dimpling
shouldn't
cause leaking.
