I have taken the spring off of all mine, that allows me to run less tension on the levers making for smoother operation. Remember if the push-pull where to fail it would be like landing a fix pitch. Works great! ----- Original Message ----- From: neilmark@aol.com To: rv8-list@matronics.com Sent: Monday, May 26, 2008 3:05 AM Subject: RV8-List: Prop lever creep Has anyone had the prop lever (middle of the 3 levers) creep and if you lock it down all the time its very annoying since that also locks down the throttle (and mixture). Applying just enough locking doesn't work since to stop the creep also immobilizes the other two....any ideas? Recommend leaving enough weight on to have the elevator trailing edge up. You will need this to compensate for paint (not an insignificant weight change as it is all aft of the hinge point). I ended up adding weight back after painting - and then fixing the paint job where I cut into the elevator fairing.
