I have considered using a 3/16" spur point drill to make a pilot hole and then opening up with a #10 per instructions. Seems like that might work better than just punching through with a #10 in one shot. Am I over analyzing this? Use a center punch to guide the first hole. Replacement blocks are not very expensive. Ask me why I know this...
