Hi Paul - I am using the Tosten grip and there are a couple of options that I have be en looking at. The first was a bend in the stick by a bloke in the U.S. How ever he no longer does the bending, but he published the dimensions. Some didn't like these and some others came up with an alternat ive. (see the following web site) This guy found bending to be destructive and wasn't happy with the location of the bends so he worked out his own di mensions and cut and welded the the stick. - http://www.kit-plane-advice.com/front-control-stick.html - I can understand this because I tried to get my rear stick bent here and ca n't get anyone to bend it. According to the professional "benders"-the pi pe is-an unusual size of molly and no one here will touch it without the exact dies because it will definitely buckle. - So instead of bending I decided to shorten the front stick so it fits under the panel. From the pivot to the top of the stick it is 18cm long. However I may shorten it a little more because-the clearance is minimal - The rear stick is even shorter, but due to the sitting position this is not a problem for the rear passenger. It is 9 1/2cm from the bottom of the rem ovable pipe to the top. However I have found that I still need to bend the rear stick with-a radius of-2.5 cm to stop it hitting the front seat be fore full forward travel is reached. I think I will need to either cut and weld or heat and bend. - Have a look at the attachment, I have put a couple of photographs there. Ho pe this helps your decision. - Cheers - Jim - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --- On Mon, 24/1/11, Paul Collins <collins04@cableone.net> wrote: From: Paul Collins <collins04@cableone.net> Subject: RV8-List: RV8 stick Received: Monday, 24 January, 2011, 1:52 PM I am looking at putting the Tosten control stick in, and an interested the length of the base/stick that was left by others who have used this.
