    Subject: Glare Shield Edge
    From: John Long <johnlong63@gmail.com>
I am getting close to finish. a couple of months ago I saw some edging for the glare shield on one of the websites. When I went back to order it, I could not find it again. If I was in an accident and went into the instrument panel, the glare shield would take the top of my head off from just above my eyes. What have people done about the meat cleaver that the edge of the glare shield would be in an accident? John N470MJ At the airport, & almost there.

For a little more professional look. Google "piping". That's what it's called. You can buy in different lengths. Put some L1300 glue on it or any very good adhesive and you've got a great look and a safe edge. I used this stuff from Cleaveland Tool on my 8 and liked it. It's sort of minimal looking compared to Classic Aero, but sometimes thats a good thing. http://www.cleavelandtoolstore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GSE54 <http://www.cleavelandtoolstore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GSE54> -- Larry Bowen Larry@BowenAero.com http://BowenAero.com On Sun, Apr 10, 2011 at 5:31 PM, Curtis White <curtiswhite@vipowernet.net>wrote: > > > > For a little more professional look. I took a length of 3/8 aluminum tubing and split it. It would stay in place by its self but I glued it down and painted.
