See if it instantly reacts and in which direction while on the ground. My AP would very slowly move after a short delay while on the ground. You can also detect and correct reverse sensing at the same time. I'm surprised yours rolled so quickly. That is very unusual for an AP. It sounds as if it went quickly to full deflection. I make a habit of guarding the stick each time I engage it. You may not have anything wired backward. For example, if it engaged in heading select mode and the heading bug was set to the right of the present heading, the AP would quickly direct a right bank - although not to the extreme you described. Have you called Trio about it? I would talk to them first. Your gains may be set wrong also. Good luck, Stan Sutterfield Do not archive In a message dated 8/15/2011 3:08:20 A.M. Took a mil second for the plane to snap roll to the right. Stopped her about vertical and flipped the switch. Must have wired the bank servo backward. Anybody know the easiest fix? I have a MGL EFIS Odyssey wi th Trio AP servos. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:27:54 AM PST US Subject: Re: RV8-List: Re: RV-8aAP Bank Servo Backwards From: japhillipsga@aol.com Stan, thanks for the shoulder, I'll call MGL & Trio the P.M. When painting I add a few blocks of ice to the water. In the photo the red hose is air in, the orange hose is air out. The drain valve is connected at the bottom of the vertical PVC pipe. The vertical pipe acts as a water collector.
