Subject: | New RV-8 Quick builder |
I am helping a friend finish a quick build and my part is working on the
wings. I'm ready to attach the flaps but can't seem to find any information
on the placement of the flap hinge on the bottom of the wind. On my RV-9A
and on my RV-10 the inboard aileron attach bracket used a flat head screw to
connect the push rod from the bell crank. The RV-8 uses a hex head so I
would think you would need some clearance for that as well as a little extra
room between the aileron and flap but the plans seem to indicate a much
narrower gap. Am I missing something?
