Save the weight and hassle. Add another NACA air vent on the right side of the fuselage instead. You will appreciate and use that *way more*. - Matt Dralle RV-8 #82880 N998RV "Ruby Vixen" http://www.mattsrv8.com - Matt's Complete RV-8 Construction Log http://www.mattsrv8.com/Mishap - Landing Mishap Rebuild Log http://www.youtube.com/MattsRV8 - Matt's RV-8 HDTV YouTube Channel Status: 172+ Hours TTSN - Rebuilding Fuselage After Landing Mishap... You can add it any t ime so I suggest you defer until it flies (DTIF) if you are still building. You may not need to use it much, but when you need it you really need it. No need for a actuator cable. Just mount it on the bulkhead between the panel and firewall at the bottom and in the center. Very easy to plumb and you just need to reach under the panel to actuate the lever. Simple.
