When fitting the baggage door on my RV-8
The rear curved rib was OK,but the one near the firewall was not.
The door just did not fit right.
I cut slots in the rib to allow it to bend.Then strapped the
door down in place,
and crawled inside to rivet on the bottom plate.
The door fits great,and the rib is still plenty strong enough
(although a bit ugly).
