Back at it after a long layoff. Working on electrical/avionics and I am
in way over my head. Bear with me-I expect this will be the first of
many posts.
Planned system for day/night VFR is VP-X and 10 in. Dynon Skyview, no
steam gauges. Single comm. radio (no nav.) with hand-held back-up.
Questions are: radio selection (Dynon, Garmin, Icom, or?) and location
for SV-261 X-ponder. I am also leaning toward a Flight Grip stick grip
rather than Infinity and planning to install a Blue Sea 9012 (Type 2,
thank you Bob Nuckolls) Master Contactor for low power drain and high
reliability as I will not have an e-bus. ADS-B out system definition
is still questionable as the Dynon GPS does not meet current FAA
requirements. It is obvious that cost and KISS are strong influences
here, but I=99m keeping an open mind. Any and all suggestions
greatly appreciated.
