Matt, The last attempt came out as random characters. Can we try again? Much obli ged.=C2- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RV 8 listers, a few=C2-questions for your collective wisdom: 1. Did anyone=C2-wrap or otherwise=C2-protect the SCAT tubing that runs from the right wing NACA inlet to the fresh air vent in the rear seat? 2. How did you route the static air tubing from the bulkhead behind the rea r seat to the instrument panel? 3. Did you install instruments or engine/ firewall forward first?=C2- 4. Anyone have a good or bad experience with an Advanced Flight Systems pan el? 5. If you have rear seat rudder pedals, how did you route the cables around the rear footwells? Any trouble with getting smooth travel?=C2- 6. Has anyone used a Dynon AoA pitot tube and static air system with non-Dy non avionics? 7. Can I run coax cables for both VHF comm radios next to each other or do they need separation?=C2- Thanks! Stay safe, sane, and healthy out there.=C2- v/r,P2

Quoting pplous@aol.com: > 1. Did anyonewrap or otherwiseprotect the SCAT tubing that runs > from the right wing NACA inlet to the fresh air vent in the rear seat? No, figured that the SCAT tubing was enough protection itself. It isn't carrying fuel or electricity, so the worst that could happen is it leaks air. > 2. How did you route the static air tubing from the bulkhead behind > the rear seat to the instrument panel? Didn't route from the back seat to the instrument panel. The plans show a forward NACA intake ahead of the panel for the front seat vent. > 3. Did you install instruments or engine/ firewall forward first? Did engine first and then instruments. Wouldn't have anything to hook up the engine instruments otherwise. > 4. Anyone have a good or bad experience with an Advanced Flight > Systems panel? > 5. If you have rear seat rudder pedals, how did you route the cables > around the rear footwells? Any trouble with getting smooth travel? > 6. Has anyone used a Dynon AoA pitot tube and static air system with > non-Dynon avionics? None of these apply to my plane. > 7. Can I run coax cables for both VHF comm radios next to each other > or do they need separation? Coax is shielded so it should be ok. Checking Aeroelectric connection I don't find anything recommending against it. Brian Huffaker, DSWL RV-8A N609HZ test flying
