However, when I've visited, I've seen RV-4 #2 parked outside the hanger. Many times, I've been at the airport as Van takes off in this plane and heads home. It definitely needs a new cowl - you should see the cracks!! No matter which model he chooses to go home in, ...geez, what a ride. Oh well, I'm still thankful for my '79 BMW. It works, and I'm not far enough away from work to fly. Bummer... The redline on this prop is 2600 but I find it hard to achieve so I may repitch it slightly. I cruise at 2300 and plan on 138 kts TAS.
