I tried fitting the reccomended Gates 7350 belt to the starter
ring/altenator today (Standatd setup). The bump on the altenator (I think it
houses the electronics) looses me about 1/3rd of the movement and since I do
not want to rotate the engine (its inhibited) I could not get it on. In view
of the loss of travel I worry the belt would be too tight anyway. Is this
problem familiar to anyone else. Those of you flying. What was your
resolution?
