Yesterday, after waiting seven weeks for an inspection and another twelve
days for the inspector to finish the paperwork, RV9A N61DX took to the air.
Aside from high cylinder temps, everything went well. This is a nice
airplane!

Wayne What is the part number of those fastners from spruce and do they install
the same way as the skybolts. Do you have any pictures on you installations.

Congratulations on your first flight!!
An avenue you might explore on your CHTs. In our chapter (663 Livermore,
CA) newsletter was an article on unexplained high CHTs. Short story, they
found that the flashing between the cooling fins near the plug was blocking
the passage of cooling air. Cleaned it out with a file and the CHTs were in
the normal range. I was going to give you a link to the article from our
newsletter archive, but that month for some reason was not posted.
