--> RV9-List message posted by: "Jim Wright" <jlwright@cox-internet.com> I had the same problem the first time I used the SW wash primer. Another RV builder solved my problem. The first thing you have to do is stir the paint with a drill motor long enough to completely mix the paint. The second is to mix the paint one part paint to two parts activator instead of one to one and a half. After I did that it works great and sticks like concrete. After I mixed the paint the first time it doesn't take but a minute to remix it later when you get ready to paint again, but it is necessary to stir the paint very well. I've used PPG 271 epoxy primer over the Sherwin Williams wash primer and then top coated and had no problem with adhesion or reactions. Jim Wright RV-9A 90919 Empennage finished working on wings

They just started calling at all hours and showing up at the workshop. Now that I'm flying, there's even more of them! (sorry, I couldn't resist ; )
