This is the only "drawn seamless tubing large enough to be used for an extended range tank in our wings the way Safe-Air does them. Industry standards have available 3", 3-1/2", and 4" O.D. tubing. I don't remember the hole size in the wings, but there was no room to slide the tube into the wing. If you look at the pix of the "7" wing tubes, they are supported with tabs that attach to the ribs. There is no room for the "9" wings to slide the tube into and to utilize the tab mounting. The tube is just a bit to large. You could go into the wing, if you are building the wings, and enlarge the hole to accept the standard tube size. Again, not an easy task. I bought quick built wings and I figured that the effort was not worth the additional work. The interior tank was a much more acceptable method of getting additional fuel. Plus, I could remove the tank if I did not need it. As I said, I decided that the additional fuel was not in my cards. My travels run about 550 NM. Just enough distance to require one refueling. Of course, that is in a NW direction which is against the prevailing winds so my cruising distance with a minimum of 30 to 45 min. comes up short with the standard tanks. Oh well, a break for potty and fuel is ok.
