The new model Matco brake valve (model PVPV-D) we had from'Van's' has the plumbing feeds according to the instructions going initially to the left brakes peddles. Was the right side mounting choice for the reservoir (from the plans) due to the larger 'concord' battery being left side mounted. I'm building a tipup -7, and plan to mount mine in the cockpit on the bulkhead that supports the canopy hinges. With a tipup canopy, it's accessible when the canopy is open. One less hole in the firewall (actually 3, with mounting) and still invisible to passengers. Just a little extra care required when checking/filling.
