--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" <Larry@BowenAero.com> I made it with the Windows Movie Maker the comes with XP. It should work on Windows Media Player -- that's what I've been using to view it anyway. I'm not sure I can convert it to the more common MPEG format, but I can try. It's probably my issue, not yours! Wishing I was at OSH too. 0.1 HTML_TITLE_EMPTY BODY: HTML title contains no text --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Dana Breda <dbreda@earthlink.net> Bob, Possible cure... I've found that if you're using Netscape rather than Internet Explorer, .wmv files come through as ascii characters (or something like that) when you try to open the file directly off the 'net - saving the file to disc then viewing it works fine though. --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "BOB martin" <libertyva@msn.com> Larry, It is on my end for sure as I get the same thing on other sites as well. I'll make sure I have the windows media player installed. I saw your pics and the gasket doesn't look right to me either......looks like it needs holes in the gasket where the ports are.......for the oil to move. But I'm not an A&P...:-) it is good to check with someone who knows.... Good Luck. 0.1 HTML_TITLE_EMPTY BODY: HTML title contains no text --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Dana Breda <dbreda@earthlink.net> Bob, Here's how I do it... In Netscape with XP, right click on the link and click "save link target as"... then save to a folder on disc. Open Explorer (right click on the "start" button and left click "explore"). Go to the folder where you saved the file and double click the filename - it'll run. You may be familiar with other ways, but any way you can get to the file to double click it after you've saved it is fine. This isn't directly related to RV's, but I thought maybe it would help others run Larry's file... It is returning "text/plain" instead of whatever a .wmv file is supposed to be. Netscape (correctly) displays the file as if it were plain text -- something you would write in notepad -- which is why you see random characters. Only the admin for bowenaero.com can fix it for non-IE users. /back to lurking

--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" <Larry@BowenAero.com> Well, the latest chapter in the long-winded prop saga is sort funny----ok, not really. I shared the same pitures with my prop gov guy. He agreed that was the wrong gasket. He overnighted the correct gasket to me. $18 gasket, $16 shipping. In prep for the new gasket, that night I removed the governor, only to find.....the correct gasket: http://BowenAero.com/pix/propgov/propgov7.jpg Apparently, the 2 year old pictures I had been refering to were not complete. The correct gasket had been there all along! Priceless... So, last night I removed the front end of the prop line, removed one plug from each cyl, and cranked on the starter only. Oil shot out of the line as I cycled the lever. So, all appears good from the oil line back. I'm going to hook a pressure gauge to the line and run it. I should see a couple 100 pounds of pressure. If that pans out, off with the prop to see what's wrong there. FAA man due to return Wednesday. --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Robert Dickson <robert@thenews-journal.com> dag, Larry. I had a DAR *and* an FAA guy here on Tuesday and they had no interest in seeing my engine run (and my prop cycles fine). The FAA guy was here to do a check on the DAR. His presence here at FAY struck fear in the hearts of a number of folks. He wasn't anything but nice to me. --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" <Larry@BowenAero.com> Yeah, I have no complaints about my FAA experience so far. The guy is very friendly, knowledgable and interested in my project. Asking to see it run is not unreasonable, IMO. And, the price is right!! Good luck on your first flight. I'm sure it will go perfectly! - Larry Bowen Larry@BowenAero.com http://BowenAero.com Robert Dickson said: > --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Robert Dickson > <robert@thenews-journal.com> > > dag, Larry.
