Sorry to hear your problem! We all feel for you! Keep your chin up and a
smile on your face, it will all work out.
Removing the engine may not be as bad as you think. All the FWF work has
already been done. It really should be fairly easy to remove and re-install
the engine.
I know the down time is quite frustrating. If you need some help all of us
will be ready if needed. Also Cappy's Toy is available any time you want to
get some tail wheel time while you are waiting.
Are the people that built up your engine responsible? Are they acting
properly?

Larry,
Believe me, after building 3 RV's I know your frustration. There probably
will be a few more problems - hopefully small by comparison.
Just remember you have done the VAST VAST MAJORITY of work already and
another few weeks will go by anyway - and by then you'll have better weather
to fly in.
I got signed off on July 13 and have only been able to get 7.5 flying hours
due to problems and weather.
It WILL get better and at least you'll have a good story to tell....

Yes, it's the engine builder's responsibility. IMO, his reaction is not
all that is should be. He's asked me to remove the engine from the plane
so he can take it back to his shop. If it were MY customer, I would offer
to do all the work, including removal and re-install of the engine. Word
of mouth is his only advertising.

If we can be of any help, please let us know. I'd be glad to help with
removing the engine (manual labor basically since I know little about that
stuff.. I'm still working on wings :)
