See http://www.vaeaa.org/ for all the skinny. Tonight I spoke with one of the organizers Judy Sparks. She is very nice and very accommodating. We can camp with our planes very close to everything. Judy offered us the TYPE CLUB AIRCRAFT PARKING area. For a view of the site go to the web site, click on Fast FAQ, and scroll almost to the bottom to find the Field Site drawing. TYPE CLUB AIRCRAFT PARKING is to the right of SHOWPLANE PARKING. It is grass and we can all camp there next to our planes. There is potable water and toilets close by. Additionally, showers are available 2 miles away at a local truck stop. Vans have been rented to transport people to and from motels and we can use them to get to and from the truck stop. The problem is we need to be there as early as possible on the 18th. She suggested no later than 9 AM to be assured we can all park together. She would like to know some advance numbers of those planning to attend. If we can get a good turnout she may be able to block off parking spots for us. Please let me know if you are planning to attend and I will do my best to work a deal with her.
