Steve, There are 2 (RV-6's) of us at Louisa, VA. and we will be comming down
or over as we are close by.
We go almost every year and it is a good fly-in.

Vans is supposed to have a booth set up there this year and Vans asked Chip
Lock, a MARV guy to host the booth. Chip asked the group and groups a few
weeks ago for any and all help in maning the booth and talking to RV
wannabees. Of course we offered our services! Chip is a repeat offender
with his second RV completed and I think he is working on a third.

This is the first time Vans Aircraft is sponsering a booth at this event so
it will be fun to see and be a part of spreading the word on how much fun
these planes and the people who fly them are!

I live only an hour away from the Petersburg airport and I could help set
things up onsite or have things there that are to heavy to carry.......if
guys were going to camp, etc etc...
      I don't know.......but like ice chests, with drinks....comes to
      mind....extra chairs....

Let me know what you guys think.
      Bob Martin

      Hi Bob,

That sounds great. Ice and Drinks would be all I need. Food should be
available on the property/ Also maybe you could ferry us to the showers if
      needed.

So I take it I can count on you and 2 others?

      Steve,
      2 total, both -6's
actually I have a van I could leave there for use by the RV guys.......if
      that works...
The truck stop showers don't sound too appealing.....but after camping,
      maybe it is ok.
Maybe I could drive down and scope out the details before the fly-in. A
motel room might be better, if enough people were intrested.......like one
      to use for showering...

We have to be careful and not overdo this.......
remember, mostly the fly-in are just guys flying in for a few hours and
flying home.....so the set ups could be good for refreshments ......maybe an
extension of the Vans booth or something in the camping/parking area.
      Anybody have any suggestions???
Any numbers on how many are thinking about camping??

Bob Martin--not camping, I live close and hate the ground.

We can always hold one parking spot out till afternoon. Is church on
      Saturday or Sunday?

Anyway, I will count you in as a late arrival.

Where are all the rest of the group. This is a great fly-in.

      Later,

Maybe I should just try to join up with Dave and these guys for the flight
in on Sunday instead of trying to get there late on Saturday ....

Hey Radomir ... you have been driving to all these fly-ins ... looks like my
back seat passenger ... Larry is going to be out of town ...

Do you want to fly up with me in my 8A? I have a commitment for Saturday
morning so I am thinking about maybe trying to join up with Dave Davenport or

some of the guys for a day trip on Sunday the 19th.

      Let me know !!!
