Stormy, I didn't think about you guys flying off a non-lighted strip. We

is a Days Inn, (704 694 7070) five min. from airport, for anyone else who
would like to stay over. Airport has a courtesy van. I don't think I
      mentioned the
fly-in is at Anson County Airport (AFP). Mike Barbee

Would be happy to put up anyone that needs a room at my house also ... would

It really would be nice if we could get some formation practice in with the

How many members have already been to a Formation Seminar?

Stormy and I have done a fair amount of practicing. We have not yet made it
to a seminar ... been weathered out each time. Larry Bowen will be flying
his 8 for the first time this week ... I know he will want to participate as

I think we have probably 3 or 4 guys that you could count on for practices,

Yes, the engine is finally back. Thanks for the help getting it hung back
on the plane. With two 'experts' it only took 20 minutes to get it bolted
on, again. Reinstallation of all the systems is going well so far. I have
some additional details of the whole saga on my website later today.

Thanks too for the airborne therapy. I needed it!

      Len

I have been to at least three seminars ... as Mike said it is always good to
get a "top off" each year.

      Ken and I practice two-ship a LOT!

I too have been weather out of a few sessions but I *was* able to make it to
      Mason City this year!

Great session, was planning to do a write-up but other stuff got in the way.
Got to practice in the "12 + 1 (P51)" formation. That was a BLAST!

What was even better was I got to fly in the 12 ship at OSHKOSH!!!!!!! Boy
was that awesome *and* a great learning experience. Flying with the guys
from TeamRV and Flacon Flight *and* ??? from California I think was a total
immersion in experience. Made a few mistakes but hopefully learned from each
one. I can think of *at least* four embarassing moments and I owe the team
beers for the rest of the year but am glad to have experienced it.

What I am hoping for is to get some four-hip (or higher) sessions together
here in the Carolinas. We seem to have been having strange weather recently
so maybe we can at least be weathering in together :-) .

Where have you and Stormy been practicing??? If we could get in a few
sessions together *before* we call in the Calvary I think that would be
      great.

Also, as I mentioned before ... if we have a practice in Columbia on a
Saturday morning, BBQ is on me! Practice at 10, BBQ at 12, practice again at
2 and call it a day.

Sunday afternoons are a possibility as well.

You, Stormy, Ken, me for starters. Add more as they desire. Sounds like
      possibilities.

Speedy is not too far away (Anderson, SC) and we might be able to get the
Frogman (south of Savannah) for a few. Then if we can get Kahuna from the
Atlanta area, we might be able to get Rocky to make one. Let's push to get
our act together and then see of we can get some of the above to give us a
      hand.

      Whaddaya say??

      James
