James,
Count me in for Sunday PM. The time is fine with me. I do not have email
access on weekends. My cell phone is 704-779-4167. Hope the weather holds

OK, This is starting to shape up with enough people to try setting a date.
Should be able to get enough to make a go of it. Also looks like everyone
is
within an hour of Columbia.
With the current hurricane "forecast" (see below), along with a variety of
commitments, and the fact that there will probably be some game related
restrictions at KCUB on Saturday, it **LOOKS** like Sunday afternoon
*might* be the best time.
So the ** PROPOSED LOCATION/TIME ** is:
KCUB (Columbia-Owens Downtown)
2 PM on Sunday
Looks like we have ...
Len RV8 - ??? - ??? -
Winston-Salem ?
Mike RV8 - ??? - ??? - Concord
?
James RV6 - 160HP - Fixed Pitch Prop - KCUB
Ken RV6 - 180HP - CS Prop - KCUB (might
have a commitment but is looking
into it)
Dave RV6 - ??? - ??? - ???
Paul RV4 - 180HP - Fixed Pitch Prop - KRDU/Kennebeck
?
"Frogman" RV4 - 160HP - CS Prop - Eagle's Nest
>>>> Please respond via email if you are "IN", along with the question
marks
filled in. Also indicate if you would prefer a different start time.
??? Bill Crothers and "Stormy" ... Are you considering and if so please
send
info like above. ???
THANKS TO ALL.
James

Bill thanks for the offer, I have one I'm using on loan from a fellow 7 builder.
Mike is a newby I found through my neighbor. He has the quick build version,
must be nice. I will probably hang the beast within a few weeks. I'll let
you know when.
Regards, Tad

Are you the James Clark from the Columbia Downtown Airport with not one but 2 RV's.
If so I would like to schedule a time to see your Tip-up version.
Thanks, Tad Sargent

Anyone care to point me to a quality CFI who gave you a BFR you really enjoyed
and learned something from? I've had a few in recent years where the emphasis
seemed to be on getting through it and getting paid, even if corners were cut
drastically. Within an hour's flight from my place would be ideal...

Larry Small just moved a Super Decathalon to Winston Salem and also gives
tailwheel and aerobatic instruction. He flies professionally for Joe Gibbs
racing. I took an aerobatic lesson from him a week ago and really liked him.
You could combine aerobatic and BFR. He grew up in Brazil as a missionary's
son and then went back to serve 6 years as a missionary pilot.
I think you would really connect with him. His number is: 336 749-6312.
