ok Stormy I am 27 miles north of Charlotte. I have a light flight schedule
for the next two weeks, give me a call if you decide to come down and we
will discuss the BFR. I fly a Citation for a company in CLT and a Pawnee
for local Soaring club.
I try to tailor the BFR to the type of flying one is doing IE, VFR or IFR
and one's experience level. I am on a airpark with 2200 grass strip

Mike:
I have exhausted the list of possible formation fly bys ... clinics ...
presentations ..etc ...for your flyin of October 30th.
Zack responded with a conflict because of Mid Atlantic Group is having
"Millers Farm" fly in that day. Rick Gray from Ohio RVators has commitments.
TeamRV has commitments.
I have nobody else to ask. Sorry !!

Last time I was in Mooresville proper was for some fresh donuts from Grimm's Bakery.
Let's see, that would have been about 2 am, some night circa 1978! Ah,
college days; the sweet memories of all-nighters.
Len, I appreciate the lead on Mr. Small.
Later,

SERV'ers
First, there is much excitement in the air about us maybe, just maybe,
finally getting a group together here in the Carolinas for some formation
practice. (Just got off the phone with Len).
Given the weather (what else is new around here??) we are going to have to
play it by ear so to speak and make the call as we get closer. But,
****IF**** we have to "delay" this for a "few days" due to Frances, we will
do that but we will not "cancel". We are "on" for some time in the not too
distant future.
Just so everyone is keenly aware, our focus is on SAFETY and LEARNING in an
ego-less environment. If we focus on that, I am sure we will also have a bit
of fun. Even though we were very focussed and worked hard, I cannot begin to
tell you how exciting it was to fly with TeamRV and Falcon Flight members at
Mason City ... everything from back seat to a "newbie", 2-ship, 3-ship
enroute (thanks to Speedy and Rocky), 4-ship and eventually the 12-ship +
P-51! I learned a LOT in a short amount of time just soaking in the
experience.
Also, I am sure you do the same in your two-ships etc, but Ken and I always
BRIEF, FLY THE BRIEF and De-BRIEF. And I learn in every stage.
So, there is a lot to learn by us practicing "together" and every effort
will be made to maximize the opportunity. With people like the "Frogman"
being there with us (and maybe even "Speedy" {you out there??}) we will be
able to tap into a vast experience base as we learn. PLEASE make sure you
have reviewed the book, presentations, videos beforehand.
I know there is a lot of dialog here via email as we are many miles apart
and trying to get ourselves going at some level. I say keep it up as we need
to get to the point where we are like hangar-mates next door.
Finally, if there are any logistics issues you need to have handled or
discussed, drop me an email (off-list if you desire) and I will try to get
it taken care of.
Comments????
James

James,
I don't think I will make it but I and several of us in VA want to get into
a formation school as soon as possible, so we will be watching our schedule
and the weather.
I applaude your comment on "ego-less"...the typical thing is for the event
to grow so big and be on a such a time table that everybody feels pressure
to perform.
Keep up the communications.
