Hey guys,
We had a great time with the Louisa Air Fair yesterday!
It was a pretty day to fly. We had 2 RV's fly in to join us.
Roger Edwards from GVE, with his new Subie powered -6A, 28 hrs and climbing.
He has 2 weeks to get to 40 so he can fly to the VaEaa show in Petersburg.
Tom Silbersiepe from Warrenton, in his pretty red RV-4, Tom has it light and
simple and uses a parachute for a seat because he likes to go upside down
alot.....smile
But the local people came out by the car loads....the ramp was full.
The NEW TIGER people showed up with a Demo Tiger and flew it!
There was a NC based RC model team that put on an Awesome demonstration of
Radio Controlled planes and a flying lawn mower sporting the CUB Cadet logo.
Some of the planes had 12 foot wing spans.
There was a flying Lockheed Loadstar (C60A) there, twin tail dragger, it was
so big, I walked up inside and up to the flight deck to take a picture of a
loaded panel. and it was a long way from the door in the tail section to
the front too......
The food vendors had lines that were too long to stand in!
There was a big biplane and a 182? I think selling rides and they kept going
for an hour and a half after the airshow was over.
Aerobatic routines by a YAK and an Extra 300, that continue to amaze
me...the RC models looked as big as RV's and the aerobatic planes looked
like RC models flying all the wierd stuff.
The Flying Farmer was suposed to show up but he missed for some reason, hope
he is ok!
We had lots of family and friends show up to our RV hanger and lots watched
the show from that end trying to stay in the shade.
Tripp and Larry took the -6's up after the airshow comotion subsided for a
local flight as the evening as turning out beautiful. A wonderful day was
had by all.......
We didn't do much flying.......but we we played hostess to many and shared
the thrill and excitement of flying with all that came. Hopefully we
continued to share the good side of general aviation. We enjoyed seeing all
our friends that made it and missed the ones of you that couldn't make
it......there is always next year!
I hope you all had a good day as well........
Bob Martin, Louisa VA.

Hey folks,
I double checked and Matt Dralle's earlier post says it's OK to post about new
aviation products as long as the message doesn't come off as having a "flavor"
of "traditional spam". Don't worry I'm not going to try to sell you anything
that supposedly makes any of your body parts larger (or smaller) and this product
is directly aviation related :) I'm just an airplane builder, owner, pilot,
and aviation nut who wants to tell you where you can find more information about
a great new product.
I've been selling kits of vortex generators (VG's) for only $95 and my customers are telling me they really like the performance gains they're seeing. VG's are great for reducing stall speeds and allow you to land slower, shorter, and safer. I invite you to check out my site at www.landshorter.com and see what you think. My VG's can be quickly installed for testing using removable double-stick tape and come with a 100% money-back guarantee so why not try them out on your plane? You'll be really glad you did :)
Thanks and let's keep 'em flying!

Oh sure, we are always looking for a place to go. I think there is at least
one builder up there, haven't heard from him in a while...
I'll copy the group and see what they say.
Thanks,
