Wx looks very iffy now, with rain and winds a possibility through mid-day Saturday.
Looks like it will come down to the wire.

If there is a good wx window, who's interested in a grilled lunch and hangin' out
for the afternoon at my place this Saturday? If there's no interest, I'll
      of course stand down.

I'll probably be reinstalling my electronic ignition Saturday.

I haven't heard if Larry Small had decided to go or not...

Hey, Larry. I didn't mean to ignore your question about the Rose ignition trouble
      I had...

Mine would stumble in flight unpredictably, and when doing so, if I swithched form
both mag and EI to just EI, it sounded like the engine would quit. Lots of
calls to Jeff, some proposed fixes tried, ended up discovering a faulty plug
after I returned the EI for a refund, never was sure if that was the culprit
b/c the plug never gave me any trouble after I went to the dual mag setup. I
just happened to notice one day that the center insulator moved in and out on
its own accord with very little force, while cleaning and regapping the plug.

Lots more detail in the archives, including much I've already forgotten about the
whole sorry chapter; it was 6 years ago and seems like forever... I am interested
in the E-mag and P-mag product. Short of that, I'm sold on old technology
magnetos as the rugged reliable solution to getting and staying airborne
      ;-)

On another note, I'd be glad to play host to you and Larry Small if you care to
come up Saturday, or even Sunday afternoon for a look around, even if the fly-in
per se does not materialize. If you'd rather stay home and work on the plane,
I'd certainly understand. Just let me know if you're coming, okay?
