      Larry, Ed and all,

Yes, the weather may become a problem with this
weekend. If it turns out to be, and there is interest,
we can plan for another day. We'll check the weather
      again tommorrow afternoon.

Also here is some information for those that are going
to try to come weather permitting.

Flying in: MWK is pretty straight forward from the
      information on Airnav, www.airnav.com/airport/KMWK
and similar resources. AWOS at MWK is 336-789-2299.
There is a displaced threshold on runway 18 due to a
earthen embankment and fence. THe end of runway 36 is
on a small hill above the level of highway 52. 36 also
has a short stretch that people back taxi on, and they
usually announce it when they do. Runway and taxiways
are paved and in good condition. 123.00 is the unicom.
The runway slopes toward a low spot at the midpoint.
If the weather is good, sometimes there is students in
the pattern doing touch and goes. Also watch for jets
going straight in for 36, and the occassional aircraft
      with no radio.

Driving in: Highway 52 North toward Mt Airy. after
passing the Highway 52 - I-74 split you will take the
next exit Holly springs Road, (you'll see the airport
on the right just after the split) at the top of the
ramp, turn right, and then take the next right, maybe
1/8 mile from the ramp, then follow to you pass the
car lot on the left and turn left into the airport.
There are airport signs showing the way after you turn
      right off 52.

If you need more you info, you can call me at
336-374-8538, or the airport (Kelvin Boyette) at
      336-789-5153.
