RV-9. (Finishing the wings and expecting the fuselage any day now.
Both are slow build kits.) You are more than welcome to stop by

(40x30 I believe) for $42.00/month (current rate). You put your own hangar,
tie down, whatever (at your expense). I looked all over Charlotte for
hangar space when I first arrived in 1999 and almost nothing was available
and what was available, I could not afford. So this worked out nicely, Nice
bunch of guys there as well.
Approx 3 - 4 miles east of I485 along Lawyers Road on the left as you crest
a hill - can't miss it {:>) Check it out.

Oh, so this is not a hangar for 42 a month.... it sounded too good to be
true :)
I won't be ready to move at least until next summer.. just got the fuselage
kit today.. woo hoo! :) looks like a lot of work..
PS. Flew out of 28A a couple of times.. it's a challenging little strip...

hangar probably cost about $3000...monthly is rent on
ground, would be decent re-sale due to active group.
runway is long enough but is sort of narrow.

No, a hangar is not included - however, I think if you examine the month
fees for a hangar you will find it would only take a few years at $42/month
to pay for a modest constructed hangar compared to what you will likely pay
for hangar space - if you can find it around Charlotte. Good luck.
Yes, my first attempt to land at 28A in 1999 when I first flew my aircraft
from North Virginia took me 3 passes before I got it down. But, like most
things once you get used to it its no problem, twins fly out of there so an
RV-7 (or any RV - even one powered with a rotary engine ) will not have any
problems.
The runway is 2350' hard surface - but will its admit a tad on the narrow
side at 35 ft wide. There used to be ponds on both side of the runway, but
one side is now being filled in and removing the largest pond. But I have
landed there with cross winds gusting to 18-24 knots - not my preference for
sure - but like I say its what you get used to.
