Well, got airborne after fixing fuel leak. However, power was not what it

flew down to Stantons anyhow, but never found it. Decided that with my reduced

What a wonderful turnout !!! Who cares if we don't get answers on email ...
just great seeing everyone show up.
Lots of talk and interest in trying to set up a regular monthly meeting and
place so .... drumroll ..... first Saturday of each month at Stantons . Now
that does not mean it is Stantons and only Stantons but it will be nice to
establish a place and time that we don't have to worry about planning all the
details !!
I think we should also move the time back for the winter to 11:00am. That
way we can have some fun flying afterwards without everyone having to hurry
back home. We will always have Sunday as the rain date ... if it has to get
moved to Sunday .. time will be 1:00pm allowing for church.
We will get it posted to the calendar. Larry may also be able to add
something to the front page of the website ... we meet the first Saturday of each
month at Stantons at 11:00am.
As other interesting places come up ... we will change the meeting place for
that month. Just as with most organizations that you may be a part of ...
you won't make every meeting ... but ... you now have a regular scheduled time
and place where you can meet up with some SERV guys !!
Thanks to everyone that came and especially to all the guys who flew a long
ways to be with us ....

Ya know, I was thinking. If we do that, some of those pictures on the wall
back there should be RVs!!!! Maybe if we show up as such a group with a few
8x10's they might put some on the wall. I just remember sitting there

That would be fine with me. The only emphasis is on
non-commercial use.
I like the idea of taking a few 8x10's down to

James, what do you think about doing BBQ at your place
on 1-8 instead...we could talk formation basics w/
anyone interested in hearing about it and then go do
some . Any newbees could fly behind like M. Barbee
did to see if their interest is real. It probably
helps to get some feedback from others to encourage
competant pilots w/ no formation experience to take
the next step. This clear cool weather is great for
this. remember, summer means haze and thermals.
