(This has happened to some RV's!) Our local FBO has found the brake fluid with a much higher flashpoint, therefore safer. (MILPRF83282)It sells for $25.00 gal. It was previously recommended on another RV list. It is newer and designed to avoid the problems with the older fluid. You can get it from Danville FBO, General aviation (www.flydanville.com) (Rembold-Air@gamewood.net) Anyone on another list may want to post this there as this fluid has been almost impossible to find. Is this the same thread? Just order a quart from Danville FBO? We could get groups of 4 to split a gallon on our own... I have a rather spectacular picture of the wheel pant aflame. My understanding is that you also need to replace the standard O-rings that come with the Cleveland brake set with gaskets that have a higher melt point. I probably will go with the digiflight II. Let me know your thought. I emailed him and asked him again and he confirmed he would do it again. Said it preformed fantastic in turbulence. But I also read accounts from Michael Stewart with Team RV and he loves his Trio......but remember it is only lately the Tru Trak guys made a version to drive the Nav-aid servo and at first the Trio was the only game in town and a easy retro fit. So it seems only right the guys switching would love the Trio. http://home.hiwaay.net/~sbuc/journal/EZ_Pilot.htm Check out Sam Buchanans site for his results too. Even Doug Reeves swapped his Navaid and loves the Trio ........ I would like to also add the altitude hold and even though they are two seperate systems it would be nice to have the same brand equipment, I guess.......everything I read says they are both good systems, guys I respect like them both, so I'm starting to think we couldn't go wrong with either one. I have a 3 1/8 inch hole to fill in my panel so the Trio would fill it nicely. The trutrak 3 1/8 unit is the same as the 2 1/4 with a larger face......small details for sure......... It is interesting if I read your post correctly that you spoke to a guy that has the Trio and would use the TruTrak if he had it to do over again????? Are you thinking about the digiflight II because it combines the wing leveler and alt hold in one unit? because it does cost a little more than the basic Tru Trak unit and seperate alt hold. The photos were taken by one of our local guys that rides with us during formation practice a lot. His name is Steve Richardson. There are more that I will submit later on. As mentioned several times earlier, it was a great session. Looking forward to the January session(s).
