During tonight's EAA Chapter 960 meeting in Farmville, NC, several opportunities
for education came to our attention. Dennis and I thought that any of you who
are close enough might be interested, particularly in the first one...Lori
Member Wayne Slaughter mentioned that Clyde Smith, "The Cub Doctor", has an
opportunity to visit Farmville once again for a extensive three day hands-on aircraft
restoration program. For those of us who have attended Clyde's education series
in the past, this was time well spent. A date has not been set, but Wayne needs
to make a decision by this week-end to let Clyde know. If you have an interest
in
attending this workshop, please let Wayne know by calling 252-753-7266.
The cost is $350. Note this is a FABRIC workshop.
Another opportunity for education is an Aviation Ground School for Private Pilots.
This will be starting on Tuesday January 11th. This ground school will be taught
at
Pitt Community College, Tuesday's and Thursday's from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The location is at the Raymond Redrick Building, Room 206. The cost is $65.
You must register through the college. Call Dillon's Aviation for more information
or PCC at 493-7388.
