I am not going to Lakeland but am happy to take you up in my 4. I can come
to Asheboro sometime.
Despite having a -4, I would suggest building an -8. It has more interior
room, and more baggage capacity. The back seat is a little more inviting
than the -4. A lot of pilots dont fit in the front seat of a -4. The -8
has a bigger panel. In addition, it will have much higher resale value. A
high end -4 sells for less than a low end -8. Some people think the -4
looks better, however.

out which one I want to build! It's down to the 4 or 8 and It's driveing me
nuts !! Anyway, a friend of mine and a member of SERV (Ron Schreck )is
headed down to Lakeland this weekend with Steve Glascow and suggested that
if I asked you all nicely , I might be able to hitch a ride in someones back
seat if there was one available. I live 20 miles south of Greensboro and 10
miles north of Asheboro . Was going to ride in the back of Scott Keadle's
RV-8 but he has had a change of plans. Be willing to share the gas if
someone could use the company ! Thanks in advance ! Steve

Don't know about the rest of the group but I am not going to make the trip

Alright -- but still watching the wind forecast at CUB. Calling for 90`
crosswind.

We have a solution for that ... it is only 6 miles away ... KCAE.
KCUB is oriented 31-13. KCAE has 11-29 + 5-23 (80 degrees from KCUB
orientation) and BOTH are over 8500 feet long and VERY wide. This usually
covers just about any wind situation.
Fly safe. Do what works for you.
