Larry,
I went ahead and took off, figured what the heck, I could
always turn back. Made it over there with okay weather. Billy
said the timing worked out very well, despite me confusing a
cell phone message from someone else as his signal to turn
inbound (no radio available). Flew over to find the place at
6500msl about thirty minutes prior, and would have never
found it on the first pass otherwise. If we ever need to do
something like that again, we should definitely figure on a
visual inspection beforehand. No way to get over it with just
the long/lat the first time unless we just get lucky imho.
Thanks to all who offered your support and help. Billy told
Sheila about all the thoughts, prayers, and offers to help,
and he said it meant a lot to her.
