Thanks for the reminder question Steve.

I kept hoping we would have a meeting in Columbia so the person offering

      orders in real time.

The deal still stands, I just wanted to get some face to face time between

      Hi Stormy,

They have not provided any information on the car/airplane or who will be
doing the flying. At the end of all of the Monster Garage shows they take
what they have created out someplace and test it. I hope they would not
truck this thing all the way from the West Coast unless they thought it
      would fly.

At this point its pictures at FIRST FLIGHT (FFA) between 8 am & 12 pm then
over to CURRITUCK COUNTY (9W7) for the flight between 2 pm & 6 pm.

I'll keep everyone updated as I get more information.

I'd love to try this trip, Curtis. It just so happens I already have the
day off. Now all I need is for the wx to cooperate and the daughter at
college NOT to need Daddy to give her a ride home in the RV from Newport
      News for Spring Break.

As an aside, what kind of idiot would test fly a new plane "in ground effect
only" from Manteo's runway? IMO, crow-hops are about the most dangerous
maneuver you can try in a new plane unless you've got 10,000 feet in front
of you, which MQI does not. My guess is the pilot will take it up and
around, if the plane feels right just after rotation. I know I would. I
aborted a takeoff early in my test phase when I had an engine hiccup at 40
feet AGL, and it took all the 7000 feet at LWB and flat spots on both main
tires to get stopped before the REIL lights and the grass beyond. Not a
      recommended maneuver :-)

It would be great to get a big turnout from SERV, MARV and all the local
      chapters for this photo op.  Be careful if Showtime makes it over from PKB;
I hear it's dangerous to get between him and a TV camera ;-)

      Best to all,

      Hi Len,

Im planning on arriving at FFA by 8 am, which is easy for me since Im
based at Elizabeth City ,(ECG) which is about 10 min by RV. I would suggest
that those planning on attending the FFA activities arrive no later than 9
am. The plan at this time is for them to arrive at FFA at 8 am and stay
until 12 pm then pack it up and move it to CURRITUCK COUNTY (9W7) for the
      flight test.

I'll keep everyone updated as I get more information.
