I saw you take off out of GSO ... I was in the parking lot at church and
heard this great a/c sound ... said to myself that looks like a Cirrus ....guess
it was !!!! You were hauling butt !!!!

It was windy (mostly down the runway), but it was otherwise a beautiful
day! The temperature was just right and setting up between hangars so
the wind did not affect the activities other than flying really made it
a nice gathering.
We did not get a count of the number of people present. We cooked about
75 hamburgers and at least that many hot dogs. Not much was left so I
would guess at least 60 folks ate lunch.
Not counting the RV's based at KCUB, about 15 RV's attended, including
the Rocket. In addition to the wind challenged RV pilots who drove in,
we had quite a few drive-in builders and wannabe builders from
Greenville, Rock Hill, Walterboro, Charleston, etc.
It was a very pleasant day! Thanks to everyone who participated. This
may actually become an annual event.

I agree with Ed. A great fly-in combined with great food and camraderie.
Bumpy up and bumpy back but all safe in the end. With the crosswinds and
GUSTS (!), I made several good landings on arrival back in Ridgeland!!

Hi Gang,
I finally got some time and got the scoop on ordering more " Palmetto
Wing" shirts. The shirts are camp type short sleeve shirts 100% cotton.
Navy or Khaki with the Palmetto Wing logo over the pocket. They are
$30 dollars. I am also going to order golf type shirts. The price is
also $30.
If you want a shirt or two please send a check with your size ( S, M,
L, XL), what shirt (camp or golf) and what color( navy or khaki) you
