I haven't landed there myself (never landed on grass anywhere yet!) but to my untrained eye, it looks like it's very well built and I can vouch for the maintenance personally. I've taken both Bob's electrical course and SportAir's electrical workshop. I guess I had high expectations for both, because I left each a little disappointed. I didn't feel any smarter electrically after either one. I enjoyed both because it was a gathering of airplane builders, but that's it. If you are seeking electrical guidance, more than a social gathering, read Bob's book as mush as you can (I lasted through chapter three, or something like that), then get with someone local who has been there, done that with their plane. It's not hard, but very intimidating. Wayne8A helped me get started and was a huge help. By the end of the wiring I was feeling much more confident in my abilities. - Larry Bowen Larry@BowenAero.com http://BowenAero.com > -----Original Message----- > From: Dwight Frye [mailto:dwight@openweave.org] > Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2005 9:43 PM > To: rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com > Subject: Re: RVSouthEast-List: AeroElectric seminar cancelled :( > > --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Dwight Frye > --> > > Thanks. I've actually read the book all the way through. I'll probably read his new revision 11 when it comes out as well just to catch the latest-greatest stuff. I guess those years of reading software documentation and tech books for my job has paid off in giving me a high pain threshold. Maybe reading the book(s) along with finding an experienced helper as you suggest will do the trick without having to travel to the seminar. I figured ... if the seminar would come to me, then I'd for sure attend! But it isn't to be. :) -- Dwight On Thu Apr 21 18:59:46 2005, Larry Bowen wrote : > >--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" > >Dwight & others - > >Hang in there.
