I've been on the road so I haven't had a chance to say how much I enjoyed
flying down to Sun and Money with James and Bill. Great time and great
flying.
Bill: Sorry to bail on you late in the day Thursday but I was expected at
work the next day. Dropped into Ocala for $3.60 100LL (yikes!!) and landed
after dark in Ridgeland around 9:00pm. Didn't wear a jacket (big mistake);
it was COLD at 6,500'. Dropped down to 2,500' (and less) and ran under the
clouds the rest of the way back. How did your brake problem work out??

hey Lee, been a hectic wk. after being gone so
long...i didn't have e-mail to keep me caught
up..blackberry time. i lost brakes on turn out and
the guys were great help in making repairs. spent one
more nite in tent..that got old...flew back next a.m.
in 40k headwind and 20/30 surface. took 3:15 instead
of usual 2:30, but made it in time to drive to
wilmington...only now am i rested up..annual next wk.
so no flying for a bit. great wk. in LAL. miss that
strawberry lunch...seeya, bill

I'm very sorry to inform you that we had to cancel
the weekend seminar for Apex, NC. It's past time to
buy reasonably priced airline tickets. I had hoped to
get some last minute sign-ups but it was not to be.
Only 9 builders signed up for this program and it
takes about 15 to break even. I've only had to do
this three or four times in 10 years and it's never
easy. We really enjoy sharing the learning experience
with as many builders as possible around the country
and I've put some programs on in spite of small losses
but the circumstances for this program don't even give
me that option.
I'd be pleased to reschedule at some later date to see
if participation improves. Perhaps the date we selected
has some conflicts that drove interest down.
