Well folks .... I now know what happened to the scheduled AeroElectric
seminar. I got a phone call from Bob today. He was calling rather red
faced to confess a huge mistake. When he sent the cancellation e-mail
he has mis-interpreted the date ... and thought it was a month sooner
than it really was. By his estimation that night we were within 10 days
of the date without enough folks to make the seminar break even. Thus
the cancellation.
HOWEVER, he wants to put the date back on the schedule, and is sending
e-mail out to everyone who signed up already. Folks will NOT have to
re-register, but will only need to confirm via e-mail that they still
want to attend. So if you signed up already, you should see mail from
Bob most likely sometime today.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED UP ... now is your chance. Please go sign up as
soon as you can find a moment to do so!
Since the mistaken cancellation I have had enough people tell me they
had intended to sign up to bring the total number of attendees to the
required minimum of 15. It is my guess that there were a few of you
who intended to sign up, but never said anything. We have TWO WEEKS
til the "go/no-go" decision point. But what do ya say we don't wait
until the last minute to sign up? (I feel the effects of the latest
NPR fund drive influencing this particular paragraph.)
Due to this bit of confusion and communications problems regarding the
number of attendees needed, and when a "go/no-go" decision point has
arrived, Bob has updated his web site to better communicate these details.
Our event is back on the calendar, the web page is back in place, and
the number of attendees now stands at ZERO. :) As folks reconfirm their
willingness to attend (and new folks sign up) we'll see that number
go up.
If you have ANY questions, please feel free to write me.
I want to thank Bob for identifying the mistake, 'fessing up to it, and
taking action to do something about it. That is what a good pilot does,
isn't it??

Super! I noticed that within (literally) an hour of Bob sending his "I goofed"
note out we already had five people e-mailing him back saying they still did
want to attend. I'm encouraged.
If anyone else was thinking about possibly attending, NOW would be a great
