My intent was to get a revision 11, but he sent out a revision 10 immediately. I decided to not fuss about it and just passed it on to a friend. So, if you did NOT order a book when you signed up, I'm betting the thing to do is just buy one from him while he is here. Due to the problems with his registration site ... I'm going to ask him to just bring a handful of books so people can buy them on the spot. So I'd tend to think that you can get one when you show up for the seminar. If you DID order a book when you registered, I would have expected it to have been sent already. If you have not recieved it (and you paid for it) then I'd bug Bob ... or ask him to deliver at the seminar. Bear in mind I'm just guessing here. The way this little adventure has evolved I can't swear I know *what* is going to happen from one moment to the next. Right now I'd believe anything up to and including a major earthquake on the first day of the seminar! :) -- Dwight On Wed May 4 20:00:08 2005, Charles Hagerty wrote : > >--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Charles Hagerty" > >Hi Dwight! For more information take a look at http://www.eaa1114.org/pages/misc/seminar.php. Please note that Bob's registration site is _broken_ right now, so the drill is to e-mail me (so we can keep a headcount) and then just show up if you want to attend. Payment will be worked out at the seminar for those who do just show up. Close enough to taxi up to the door, if you wish. The airport ID is NC81. The reason we have not exactly "advertised" this is due to the fact that it is a private airport, and as such it has its quirks. See : http://www.airnav.com/airport/NC81 Therefore, to get permission to fly in anyone interested should to talk to one of the guys on the field who can talk to you about the airport and make sure you'll have no trouble flying in. With that in mind, folks are welcome to fly in. If someone wants to fly in let me know and I'll put you in touch with the right person. Thanks for asking! :) -- Dwight On Thu May 5 13:45:33 2005, sportav8r@aol.com wrote : >Is Apex near an airport (near enough to walk ;-) ? ________________________________ Message 11 ____________________________________ Time: 07:32:34 PM PST US From: Charlie England Subject: RVSouthEast-List: Highpoint NC area airport for non-transponder RV? --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: Charlie England Hey Len (or anyone else in the Highpoint/Greensboro area), I may be flying up there next Wednesday, dropping off the wife & then flying down to Lumberton on Thursday. Can anyone recommend an airport close to Highpoint where I can tie down overnight Wednesday & again on Friday or Saturday night? I'm negative transponder so unless your controllers up there are as laid back as our guys here in the deep south, I'll need to stay away from/under radar controlled airspace. Charlie, I think Johnson Field probably suits your needs, and is very close to High Point. Mr. Johnson is very nice, and was quite accomodating the day I flew up there a few months ago.
