Automated WX was giving 400' and 1 mile. I held for 35 minutes along with several other aircraft and bailed out. 25 miles NW of Cheraw I tried to get under the clouds and come in that way but it would have required 400' or less. Again I balled out. Oh well, there is always another breakfast at 47J. James and Len how did you fare? 3 perfect touch and goes at JQF made it all worthwhile. Good breakfast although attendance, as expected, was somewhat sparse. Quite a few neat aircraft based here including a P-51 and a single engine turbine Baron. Sorry to miss you guys, 2 questionable weather days in a row !! Called him again this afternoon since he had not called me back. Said he had just sold the last room! He never checked for messages. Anyway.............did a search for other B&Bs on Ocracoke. They are more expensive as expected but the real problem is that they have a seven day cancellation policy. Don't think I trust the weather forecast seven days in advance. If anyone finds a B&B that has a more lenient cancellation policy please let me know. Here it was 300 overcast and in places 100 overcast ... clearing up some by maybe 11:00 or 12:00. Then it was to convert to thunderstorms (per forecast). We decided to call it a day. Turns out, it did not rain but it got REALLY hot and HUMID today. Almost unbearable.
