Is anyone on-line? It does not look good. Though I could easilly get out
of Raleigh, I would estimate that it would be hard to get through the
mountains under these layers, and it looks like the Cu's are already forming
and climbing, so it would be hard to get through on-top. There is a route
open to the North - swinging to the East of Washington and then over lower
PA though that route has a lot of 1200'-1600' cielings. And the Tstorms
are starting to form all over the place - it is raining here right now.
The bold pilot in me would have a go at it. The part of me that wants to be
an old pilot is hesitant to launch.
I've often wondered if we have access to enough qualified formation pilots
to hold our own mini-clinic? For example, including ex-military pilots
around here?

The mountains around HSP and LWB are covered in the White Death, and the Cu is
towering here, too.
The voice telling you to wait awhile is your life insurance agent's ;-)
Nice day to be inside at work with kids puking in the waiting room, in the exam
rooms... wait, you guys don't want to read stuf like that right before you launch.
Sorry.

The EAA 309 fly-in is tomorrow at 0800 for breakfast. Young Eagle flights
start at 1000. If the weather tomorrow is like the past several days, it
will be a drive-in (at least for breakfast). As I will be working, I will
not be there. Hope you all can make it since the clinic is off. Love
summertime, but not the foggy mornings and CU afternoons.

Did they truly not know better than to allow us both to enroll in the same flying
event and expect the wx to cooperate?! They will learn...

FYI -
The new picture area has been set up to allow everyone to upload photos you
might want to share. Just go to the SERV site (http://bowenaero.com/serv),
follow the "new photo gallery" link on the right, and then click on the
"Login" link at the top left of the page. The login name and password are
the same as the roster. Email me if you don't remember. Once you log in,
you will see a uploads folder. Click on it, and then "add photo" at the top
left. There are a couple different ways to upload, and that's all explained
pretty well on the web page. When you are done, let me know and I'll move
the pictures to an appropriate folder so others can see it.
I've already moved some of the pictures from the old album to the new, but
I'm not going to move all of them. Let me know if some of your favorites
are missing and I'll move them.
Let me know if you have any questions.
PS - This photo gallery is free as long as we "are in good standing". This
means we have to use the site and order merchadise at least once a year (See
below). A pretty easy quota to meet! So, the next time you are hard up for
a fathers day gift or something, order some prints, or a mug with your plane
on it, whatever, from the site and we should be set!

Hmmmmmm.......... well the date is a bit of a problem.
Actually, I have heard that they do this most every week, but I can't confirm that
they "for sure" will be doing it this week. Guess I gotta read this stuff
a bit closer.

Robby has uploaded some pictures taken at Green Sea a couple weeks ago.
Nice, high res' ones. Here's a direct link:

Many of us were at Monroe that same day. Anyone have some pictures from
there? I know there was a couple kodak moments of someone in the F18
simulator.....
