--> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: sportav8r@aol.com WHEREAS we had a pretty good time last weekend at the 3rd Annual Stormy's Fly-In, and WHEREAS not everyone who wanted to be there was able to attend, and WHEREAS the Almighty has providentially added even more water to the Cowpasture River basin http://www.americanwhitewater.org/gauges/id/589/, raising streamflow and water level above what it was last Saturday, and WHEREAS the weatherman is calling for beautiful weather this coming weekend, and WHEREAS Stormy would reallly like to see some _invited_ guests at Hop-Along for a change, and WHEREAS Mrs. Stormy and the kids didn't get to go tubing last time, and WHEREAS the homeplace is still kinda clean and presentable from last weekend, and WHEREAS we inherited some extra tubes last week and can now provide at least a dozen tubes to our guests, and WHEREAS folks were very generous with their free-will donations for the food kitty last time, and the state tax office just sent me a nice rebate check for highway fuel tax on mogas for the plane, making our coffers quite flush this week, and WHEREAS even Wayne8A can't be on call all the time, and Eyeball is busy on Saturday but hopefully not on Sunday or Monday, and Soapy is hopefully done moving airplanes to Hummel, and by now the Bowens are back from the beach, and the Millsap girls are waiting for their chance to do the river, and Bill Repucci might be able to find an MT seat in an RV and bring up a Kel-Tec Sub-9 for my personal evaluation, and WHEREAS we have little else better to do this weekend and y'all would be gone by fireworks time Monday night anyway, and we're going tubing whether anyone else bothers to show up or not, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the auspicious occasion of the anniversary of our Nation's declared independence http://federalistpatriot.us/current/ be celebrated in part by an open-ended invitation to Storm'y place on Saturday, Sunday or Monday afternoons (or all three) for tubing from 1-3pm each day, pizza & soft drinks provided, RSVP requested, and the frequency is 122.85 for those of you with short term memory loss... In the past I have used a bug bomb to blast away the varmints, but with all the aluminum in there I question the sanity of blasting chemicals in the air which will settle out on the aluminum. My question is whether the chemicals in a bug bomb are going to set up any corrosion on the aluminum, and if it is what is the next best thing to use? Do Not Archive Bob Perkinson Hendersonville, TN. --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: sportav8r@aol.com Okay, boys... First, you gotta bring your wives, just so we can see 'em and know they really exist. Also I'm sure you're better behaved when they're around. Second, I have the okay to give you a landing clearance prior to 1 pm. In fact, the Air Boss says you may come on in at 11:45 if that's how you want to do it. We'll eat a little sooner and get tubing that much faster, too. We got a nice rainfall tonight-should really boost the river level a bit, less butt-dragging in the shallow parts. Tell your wives they are going to really enjoy this... it's a gentle and fun time. Ask the ones who've been before. Don't worry about the "one hour rule;" not even you could find a way to drown in a foot of water ;-) P-Mag tinkereing can be on the menu if you want it to be. No, really, the river sounds good.....and the women are saying ok, to us here, but reserving the right to change their minds, (like that wasn't already clear). We are talking a 11am 'ish take off but that could easily get delayed.....it is a 40 minute flight if we go direct at meandering speeds...140knots....I love saying that <grin>...so somewhere between noon and 1pm.. but if we arrive too early, we could circle overhead like vultures..... Aren't we supposed to wait an hour after eating to get in the water?....that's what mom said....and that's what we tell the grandkids.....big smile! See you tomorrow Bob & Larry and wives....if the moons align.... ----- Original Message ----- From: sportav8r@aol.com<mailto:sportav8r@aol.com> To: rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com<mailto:rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com> Sent: Friday, July 01, 2005 9:20 PM Subject: Re: RVSouthEast-List: Independence Day Resolution form Stormy :-) --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: sportav8r@aol.com<mailto:sportav8r@aol.com> Works for me, dudes! We're getting a river fill-up as I type tonight - TSTM's. Why don't you guys and gals shoot for about 1pm arrival and we'll give you a pizza (or L/O barbecue :-) and hit the river runnin'. Advise if that's not OK. -Stormy listening on 122.85 -----Original Message----- From: BOB martin <libertyva@msn.com<mailto:libertyva@msn.com>> To: rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com<mailto:rvsoutheast-list@matronics.com> Subject: RVSouthEast-List: Independence Day Resolution form Stormy :-) --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "BOB martin" <libertyva@msn.com<mailto:libertyva@msn.com>> Stormy, The Veggie Tale Squardon is planning on arriving saturday with the full squardon and wives!
