Ed,
Thanks for your info on using the plastic spiral wrap to hold the SS flex
brake line to the ear leg. I'll give it a try. Spacing may be an issue.
Van's fiberglass gear leg fairings fit tightly to the gear leg especially on
the lower end.
FWIW..... I tested urethane adhesive (Gorilla Glue) to  bond the protective
polyethylene tubing to the gear leg. As I suspected, it does not stick to
the polyethylene.

Actually, Dale, I only used the plastic spiral wrap to protect the aluminum 
gear rod fairing from the chaffing of the SS hose line at the bottom where 
it loops to the caliper.  I used black electricians tape around the hose and 
the gear rod to hold the hose in place along the gear leg.
