Prop tracking .. double check it. 2. Prop *static* balance 3. Engine mount bolts (both at the dampeners and at the firewall). Check the torque!!! 4. Carb mixture/carburetor in general 5. Electronic ignition?? (Including wires) 6. Plugs. Are they ALL good? 7. Starter and alternator good and tight? 8. At all RPMs or just certain ones?????? Try to find it **on the ground** with the cowl off. If it is as bad as I felt it was from your description, it should be findable by a few sets of eyes just from running it on the ground, looking and listening. By the way, I gave up on getting fuel from the FBO. The Flight School owner was nice though and sold me a sectional even though she was "closed". I haven't looked too deep into the details of doing this yet, but I'd like to get a feel for who would be interested in going. Leavig Friday or returning Sunday, or something like that. What do you think? Also, I have a short video of some plane scenes while at Ocracoke. Take a look on my website if you like. We'd like to do it, but our parental duties may trump our vacation fantasies this time. Next year, we'll be free to do all kinds of stuff like this (he's a senior this year). Keep us in the loop, but don't count on our going this time. I checked, and it's 320.0nm and due west from here to there. Go west, young man... :-) -Stormy -----Original Message----- From: Larry Bowen Subject: RVSouthEast-List: SERV Outings --> RVSouthEast-List message posted by: "Larry Bowen" While at Ocracoke we talked about where to go next for a SERV outing. The idea of going to to Rough River, KY was mentioned again. This first came up last Dec. as a possible destination. Here a couple links to get you started if you are interested: http://parks.ky.gov/resortparks/rr/ http://www.airnav.com/airport/2I3 Initial thoughts were to go mid Oct., say weekend of the 15th or 22nd --- The changing leaves should make for a nice flight over the mountains. I haven't looked too deep into the details of doing this yet, but I'd like to get a feel for who would be interested in going. Leavig Friday or returning Sunday, or something like that. What do you think? Also, I have a short video of some plane scenes while at Ocracoke. Take a look on my website if you like.
