It's on the SERV calendar, but as a reminder, the EAA
731 Fall Fly-In is this weekend at the
Morganton-Lenoir airport. The event includes a
pancake breakfast, Young Eagles (about 20), hamburger
lunch and aircraft judging with awards. The event
"flyer" is on the EAA 731 website at
http://www.eaa731.org click on the Fly In link on the
left side of the page. I will be out there until
about 11:00 or noon. Please fly in if you get a
chance, hope to see a few folks there. Otherwise have
a great weekend!

Larry, here are the links you and Pam might find interesting about Kel-Tec "personal
defense equipment" and accessories. Posted to the list because I know there
are several other hoplophiles on here as well.
These are the components of my carry rig. It's plenty discrete; most days I all
but forget it's there, and my friends never know. Except you guys, of course.
Now I have to keep an eye on you ;-)

Thanks, Robbie. I still display at the office my handsome certificate from the
spring gig. Nice "day to remember" for the wife and me. We covered a lot of
ground and ate two BBQ lunches that day <g>.

Maybe I can get better video this year. Gotta work up a different
certificate design too... can't have them all look the same as that
would be boring!

I meant to include a link to this video of me shooting the Kel-Tec .380. Obviously
this was recorded a few years ago, before I lost all that weight and had
the face-lift.

Hi,
i'm new to the list (about 4weeks)....i live in Holly Springs, NC (just
outside of Raleigh). I fly out of Triple W (5w5)....with a Mustang
II...(hey...people mistake it for an RV all the time!).
i have developed a new engine monitor.....if anyone is in the market for
one...i would help install and offer it for cost. i just want to see what
features to keep and what to change...eg. what u like what u dont like.
The system has 75hours of flight testing and works great...
just looking for someone in the nearby....
if you want to see a laundry list of the features...check out
http://stratologic.mddesigns.com/
and
cheers,
Mark.

Stormy, is that 8 rounds out of a 7 shooter ? Obviously this is a RV
subject as it looks like a tool to break out the canopy if tumped over.

Wow, Cappy! I don't know if that was you, but some JetBlue captain just nailed
the centerline at LAX with a front gear canted 90 degrees, on live national TV.
A great ending to a tense drama. WELL DONE! My prayers were with them even
if it wasn't Steve at the helm, but if it was, what a way to end a carreer

Well, a +1 mag extension is available, but it messes up the nice square shape of
the weapon-plus-laser package, so mine is configured as a standard 6+1.
Not sure about its usefulness as a canopy breaker (we keep the passenger's head
handy for that), but it's part of the Flight Deck Security System whenever I
fly.
-Stormy
that guy can rip off some rounds, can't he?

Looking to try a different prop on my airplane to see if the vibrations mine
has is prop or engine related. I got a RV-4 with a 160 hp lycoming.
